My daughter loves loves loves this place better than Nagano. She will eat there twice a week if I let her. But if you're closed on Mondays, you need to put that on your website and door instead of having people keep calling and never getting an answer or the answering machine.

LOVE tosaka. best japanese food around. I moved to asheville recently and haven’t found anywhere that even compares. I still drive to newton for this treat!

Great food and service.

Had a wonderful meal of low carb salmon with stir fry veggies. It was delicious as well as the soup you get before your meal. Everything was fresh and tasty. Will definitely be back.

Good food and a good value.

We go here all the time. The wings are amazing! Priced just right. Never had to wait for seating. The waitresses are super friendly. We will continue to eat here. I would recommend Tosaka. The owner (lady) is a little bit hard on her staff. Nice to me tho

Food is always good at this place I've been back numerous times and will continue. Vegetable options which is a plus for vegetarians or vegans. Service is usually nice. The owner is sweet she speaks each and Everytime I come in. There's just a few updates that should be done to receive a 5 star the bathroom would be a great start as I never want to need the restroom again while visiting.

The quality of the food has gone down dramatically in the last 10 years. Most of the kitchen staff are Hispanic which throws you for a loop seeing as it's a Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere has a good vibe as far as decor goes. They had decent sushi for a VERY short time. The staff have always been friendly and on point.

Sat down in a booth and had waitress there taking drink order and another waitress with our soup. Ordered food and it arrived before we were finished with the soup. Very good and fast

This place is horrible! The owner (female) is fake and rude! I’ve been going here for years! She finally showed her true colors after I dined in. I was cold and told the waitresses (they were ugly about it) and the owner yelled at me and Told me I should’ve brought a jacket instead. I told her I didn’t know it would be cold. So she “turned the heat up”. To find that she made it MORE COLD and didn’t turn in the heat! I complained again and the waitress said she already did it. So rude I swear! My food was even cold! She’s extremely rude to her staffs as well! And yells at them for things they did not intend to do. Some of her New workers that recently got hired are rude as well and does not give great service like back then! They talk back and give you attitudes. And they’re slow! All the do is sit down and talk talk talk in there language! You think I don’t know they’re talking about me! What happened tosaka!? Really! Come on! I expected more! I hope you guys get shut down!

Great food for the price. My husband got teriyaki steak. It was very tender. The whole dinner was good.

Phone was ringing loudly off the hook. Table was greasy. The food was very good and priced affordable.

This is a place I've gone to since 2007. It's absolutely my favorite restaurant for Japanese food and one of the reasons why I love Teriyaki chicken so much. It's super cheap, really good, and definitely worth a visit.

Food portions have got smaller, we was actually shocked as to how small they have got. The servers are on top of everything but they also hardly give you time to eat without asking you a question every 2 minutes. The owner sits at her table and watches them.
